The Pennsylvania State University
Dickinson School of Law

University Park, Pennsylvania
114,000 square feet
2009

An independent institution until it merged with The Pennsylvania State University in 2000, the Dickinson School of Law currently has a single, historic campus in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. This new building on the University Park campus will enable Dickinson to fully engage the intellectual and programmatic resources of the University Park campus and to incorporate those resources into the curriculum and educational programs. While further integrating Dickinson with the University, the new facility will reflect the identity, reputation and stature of the original Carlisle campus, reinforcing unity between the two physically separate campuses. Program elements of the University Park building include ceremonial courtrooms, legislative hearing rooms, auditoriums, libraries, reading rooms, classrooms and instruction spaces, public spaces and exterior gathering spaces. The facility will incorporate advanced technology and is being designed to achieve LEED certification.
